Patriot Contract Services, LLC is a leading contractor to the U.S. Government, providing management and operation of maritime assets. PCS currently manages Ready Reserve Force (RRF) ships for the United States Maritime Administration, and the special mission vessels USNS Hayes and USNS Waters for the U.S. Navy Military Sealift Command (MSC). PCS provides crewmembers for vessels operated by Kwajalein Range Services, Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution and other ship operators, and it provides engineers to clients for consulting purposes. PCS has also performed maintenance and repair and worldwide operation of eleven Large Medium Speed Ro-Ro (LMSR) vessels for MSC, including all of the Bob Hope Class LMSRs.
PCS has extensive ship operations experience, having operated up to twelve RRF vessels at different times in its contracts with MARAD. PCS today manages six RRF ships for MARAD that have recently conducted extensive joint and independent operations for the military worldwide. In 2003, MARAD awarded PCS its Professional Ship Manager award for management of the SS CAPE GIBSON.PCS' methodology for ship operations is based on the international model for ship management. This model is founded upon a qualified well-trained shipboard management team and crew. This professional, sea-going cadre is supported by a core team of shore side professionals dedicated to a specific group or fleet of ships, which in turn is supported by a well-trained, experienced administrative staff and sophisticated information technology systems. PCS’ ships are operated and managed in accordance with the highest international and U.S. Government standards, including ISO 9002, International Safety Management Code (ISM), USCG, ABS, and state and local regulations. PCS’ specific management procedures in support of ship operations, including purchasing, accounting and property control, are approved by DCAA, DCMA, MARAD and/or MSC.
